Senior Grand Master Ed Parker, Sr., beginning the 1950’s and continuing until his untimely death in 1990, developed American Kenpo Karate. Mr. Parker, who is referred to as “the father of American karate,” pursued the development of American Kenpo karate through many means, such as the publication of his multi-volume series, Infinite Insights Into Kenpo. Mr. Parker viewed American Kenpo karate as a living art that would grow and evolve through the dedicated efforts of instructors and students.
